Mbappé, Bellingham, Carreras: How Real Madrid build their win against Valencia

Real Madrid begins the month of November with a convincing win against Valencia. The Blancos win 4–0 in their last game at the Bernabéu for this month.

But let’s start from the beginning. Before kick-off, a minute of silence is held for José Manuel Ochotorena, former Valencia and Real Madrid player, and for Julia Sánchez Herrera, Carvajal’s grandmother.

After remembering these two important people, the Valencia players take the ball to officially start the game. A couple of minutes into the game, the Real Madrid fans have their first scare as Arda Güler falls on the pitch and keeps touching his ankle. The doctors are called, and they check the player on the side of the pitch.
The Blancos keep playing for a couple of minutes with nine men, until Güler jumps back on his feet and re-enters the pitch without any problems.

Just in the 5th minute, Real have their first chance to score with Kylian Mbappé, but unfortunately his shot is far too high to be an actual threat to the Valencia goalkeeper. The last touch on the ball is from one of the Valencia players, so Mastantuono takes a corner. The corner is well taken and gives Valverde a great chance, but he does not finish it.
Valverde then takes the ball again, passes it to Mbappé, who passes it to Vini Jr., who shoots, but the shot is blocked by Agirrezabala.

By the 12th minute, Real have already had three goal chances, while Valencia have not created even one.

In the 14th minute, Real win another corner and, again, Mastantuono takes it. The ball reaches the penalty area and Militão heads it, but it hits a Valencia player. The number 3 of Real Madrid goes straight to the referee, complaining that the away player touched the ball with his hand. The referee is then called by VAR to check for a possible penalty.
Real Madrid win it and Mbappé converts it into a goal.

At the 18th minute, Real Madrid put themselves in the lead.

Valencia try to fight back, but they always fail to reach the opposite penalty area. At this point, the whole stadium can see how frustrated Carlos Corberán is.

In the 29th minute, it seems like Valencia have their first possibility with a great move between Danjuma and Rioja, but unfortunately the shot is too high to be a real threat to Courtois.
After this, Real Madrid immediately hit back and, thanks to the assist made by the Blancos’ number 15, Mbappé scores the second goal.

After the goal, Valencia break forward towards Real Madrid’s penalty area, but again they fail to finish the action and actually give Real the opportunity to launch a counter-attack.
So Real take back possession and win another penalty in the 41st minute.
Vini takes the ball but doesn’t manage to score; his shot is blocked.

Fortunately, after just two minutes, Bellingham extends the lead and gives Real Madrid their third goal of the game.
Six minutes are added and the Blancos are still the ones creating more chances with Bellingham, Güler, Vini and Mbappé. Fortunately for Los Che, none of their actions are finished.

The first half ends with three goals for the home team and zero for the away one.

The second half begins with substitutions from both sides.
Valencia:
• 11 Rioja → 9 Duro
• 12 Thierry Rendall → 24 Eray Cömert
• 16 Diego López → 21 Jesús Vázquez
• 15 Lucas Beltrán → 10 André Almeida

Real Madrid:
• 14 Aurélien Tchouaméni → 6 Eduardo Camavinga
• 15 Arda Güler → 19 Daniel Ceballos

Between the 57th and 61st minute, Real Madrid have two possibilities to extend the lead even more, with two shots from Mbappé and Camavinga, both of which are blocked by the goalkeeper.

It is in the 63rd minute that the first real chance for the away team arrives, with Hugo Duro, but Courtois denies it and blocks the potential first goal of the visitors.

In the 67th minute, there is another substitution for the Blancos: number 17 Asensio enters the pitch for number 24 Huijsen.

Valencia are definitely more in the game this second half; they have their chances to score, but they are not well played so they don’t actually have any possibility to finish them.
On the defensive side, they are actually pretty good, with solid interceptions from the goalkeeper and the defenders.

In the 77th minute, Xabi Alonso uses his last two substitution slots: Endrick for Mbappé, and Rodrygo for Vini Jr.

The hopes for a Valencia comeback are definitely over when, accidentally, a Valencia defender—trying to block Endrick’s shot—gives the ball to Carreras, who scores a fantastic goal, putting the ball into the top corner.

In the last minute of regular time, Valencia are really close to scoring their first goal, again with Hugo Duro, who hits the post.

The referee adds two minutes, but nothing important happens.

The game ends 4–0 for the home team, who also extend their lead at the top of the league table.
